Joan Van Loon (IBM): With degrees in Health Economics, Applied Economics and Nursing in his pocket, Joan started his career as Health Economist at the "Provinciaal Insituut Voor Hygiëne" in Antwerp. After 4 years he stepped into consulting as Healthcare/Pharma consultant for Coopers & Lybrand, later PwC. After the global take-over of PwC Consulting by IBM, Joan had different management positions in IBM. Today he is, as Managing Director, responsible for Public Sector, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Telco & Energy and Transport. Joan is global thought leader Healthcare and ambassador for IBM Watson.
